I love experimenting with paper pulp to discover the vast ranges of textures and patterns I can work into its surface. I use many techniques including impressing, inlay, casting, tearing, painting and stitching to achieve the desired result.
My fascination with fossils and ancient artifacts has given me an endless source of inspiration. I enjoy tearing and distressing my paper fragments to give them an appearance reminiscent of archaeological finds or treasures. I am also inspired by myths and legends, and love creating fish and fantasy creatures, with scales, spines and trailing tendrils.
I have work in both private and public collections, including Countesthorpe Community College, Countesthorpe, Leicestershire, and artsNK, North Kesteven, Lincolnshire.
I am a member of IAPMA, (the International Association of Hand Papermakers and Paper Artists), the Tesserae Textile Group, the Lutterworth Stitchers Group and Harborough Artists Cluster.
